Education Around Intellectual Property

The USPTO supports women entrepreneurs and promotes education around intellectual property.

The last program they offered, "Women Entrepreneurs: Protect and promote your brand," was in collaboration with the Farley Center in Evanston, Illinois.

Let's Put Women's Entrepreneurship Into Overdrive

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recently launched the Women’s Entrepreneurship (WE) initiative to “inspire women and tap their potential to meaningfully increase equity, job creation, and economic prosperity.” The initiative is a collaborative effort with the United States Department of Commerce. 

WE will focus on connecting women with each other, support networks, and funding sources. Additionally, the USPTO launched a new online hub that provides important information to aspiring women entrepreneurs. The website includes information on how to secure intellectual property rights and secure funding.

Let's put women's entrepreneurship into overdrive.  Go for it!

Who Knew? USPTO's Office of Innovation Outreach

And on March 3rd, you can attend the free Women's Entrepreneurship Symposium held in Alexandria, Virginia, at USPTO's headquarters, and learn about the resources and services available to assist and support women inventors and entrepreneurs.
